Christmas is coming early to Longridge this year, as Pendle Hill Properties prepares to give away 300 Advent calendars to local children during the town’s much-loved festive celebration, ‘Longridge Does Christmas’.
Taking place from 5 pm on Thursday, 27th November at the Pendle Hill Properties office, 74 Berry Lane, the giveaway is open to children aged under 12 on a first-come, first-served basis.
The festive treat is part of an evening packed with seasonal cheer as the streets of Longridge come alive with late-night shopping, craft stalls and hot food vendors, alongside shops on and around Berry Lane opening late for the perfect opportunity to pick up unique Christmas gifts.
The celebrations continue across the weekend, with the ever-popular Tractor Run on Friday 28th November, starting from the Civic Hall before touring local villages and returning for a lively evening of food and music. The festivities then reach a joyful finale on Saturday, 29th November, with the much-anticipated Santa Dash at 10 am, bringing the community together in a fun and festive run through the town.
Organised by Love Longridge, ‘Longridge Does Christmas’ is a highlight of the local calendar, drawing together residents, visitors and businesses to celebrate the spirit of the season.
Thomas Turner, Sales Director at Pendle Hill Properties, said: “It’s fantastic to be able to give back to the community that supports us all year round. ‘Longridge Does Christmas’ is such a brilliant event, the high street is bustling, there’s a real buzz in the air and it’s great to see everyone coming together to celebrate. We can’t wait to meet lots of families on the night and share some festive joy with our advent calendar giveaway.”
